I hope you are celebrating with family and/or friends this evening.  The new year is just around the corner and 2011 is slipping away behind us.

Take 5 minutes and write down 3 resolutions for this year.  Do not just think them up, write them down!  Get it on paper.  Three that is it, just three things you can do this year and look back and be proud you did it in 2012.

Do you have the paper and pen?  Okay now write "New Year's Resolutions for 2012" at the top.  Now down a line and put a 1.  Think really hard and write something.  Continue until you have 3 written.

If you are struggling, make 1 a REALISTIC health goal (ie I will exercise twice a week for at least 20 minutes in 2012).

For number 2 think of something you have wanted to do for a long, long time like since you were five and write it down (ie I will go camping).

Lastly, are your friends or family bugging you to do something you know you should do?  (ie I will stop texting while at dinner).

There you go, you are ready for 2012!  Happy New Year!

Well the time has almost arrived.  Some of you may feel your pants getting a little tighter from the holiday indulgence and beginning to reconsider the whole diet and exercise routine you abandoned a few months ago.  I am not pointing fingers just stating the facts.  It is that time of year where we rethink the dessert every night and realize our gym membership is not being used as effectively as planned.  I know others of you have been working extra hard the past few months and the new year will be a great time to get a friend or two to join you in your healthy endevour.  Wherever you may be, it is a great time to re-evaluate and make a game plan for 2012.  Eat better, move more, and feel great!
