If I had to pick my absolutely favorite food, it would probably be a brownie or anything chocolate.
I am not a vegetarian, do not eat organic, and I dislike tofu a lot. My hobbies include baking and running (it's a good compliment).
The University of Hawai'i at Manoa is where I attended four years of college. Don't ask me why, it is obvious. And yes it was more amazing than you are imagining!
I was born in southern California where eating healthy is trendy and was strongly encouraged in my home as a child. Moving to the south has been wonderful and interesting as the pressures of society greatly differ.
I keep up with evidence based scientific nutrition research and avoid diet trends of all types.
Healthy eating is a lifestyle of balance and moderation. There is no magic food and very few foods will kill you (watch out for Fugu, fish served as a delicacy in Japan).
The most fun part of being a dietitian is to help my clients acheive their goals. We focus on things such as preventing a heart attack, developing healthy babies, and feeling beautiful inside and out!
